2012: YEAR OF DIVINE GOVERNMENT 2
(week 02/12)
Olubi Johnson

In our New Year article last week, we saw that 2012, from the signs of the times both in the nations and in the Church will be a year of manifestation of divine government in the Church and in the nations: firstly, in Nigeria and then later as this decade unfolds in other nations.

This will be similar to the manifestation of divine  government through Joseph in Egypt (Gen. 41), Daniel in Babylon (Dan. 1-10) and Esther and Mordecai in Persia (Esther 8:8; 10:1-3).

This week, we will see in more detail how this divine government will manifest.

Firstly, we will see a fulfilment of the appointed time of the Feast of Tabernacles, which will result in a manifestation of the glory of the perfection and fulness of Christ through a Davidic apostolic leadership that will thus emerge and cause a ‘Passover’ from ‘Saul’ to ‘David’.

Habakkuk 2:3 KJV:  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Psalms 81:3 KJV:  Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

God’s purposes for the New Testament Church have always been fulfilled at the appointed feast days:

1. Crucifying of Christ on the Passover feast day (Mt. 26:17-27, 66; 1 Cor. 5:7).

2. The Holy Spirit filling the Church with power on the day of Pentecost (Act. 2:1-4).

So now we expect the fulfillment of the feast of Tabernacles: a manifestation of the perfection and fulness of Christ to come in the season of the feast of Tabernacles 2012.

It is instructive to note that unlike Passover and Pentecost that had one specific day; the feast of Tabernacles is celebrated over a period of about three weeks from the first day of the month: Trumpets to the 22nd day of the month (last day of the Feast of Tabernacles).

Consequently, we will not know the exact day or hour (Mk. 13:32) when the glory of God will come during this season, but we are to be prepared for it and our degree of our preparation will either hasten or delay the manifestation (2 Pet. 3:12).

Recall that even though God told Abram that Israel would be delivered from Egypt in 400 years (Gen. 15:13), they actually came out in 430 years (Ex. 12:40-41) because Moses tried to deliver them by his natural might at first and had to be humbled by God for about 40 years in the wilderness (Ex. 2:11-25; 3:1-10).

Furthermore, like Daniel understood that it was time for God to deliver Israel from the captivity of Babylon and restore them back to the land of Israel, he began to seek God in fasting and prayer (Dan. 9:2-3) to prepare for the prophetic appointed time.

So in the same manner, we must now from the beginning of this year begin to prepare by watching and praying always to be accounted worthy (Lk. 21:36) to fulfill the prophetic appointed time of season the Feast of Tabernacles for this year of divine government.

To this end, God is releasing now a 12-fold governmental anointing upon the Church that is preparing for this appointed time of the manifestation of divine government. This 12-fold anointing is the combination of the anointings of:

Enoch, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Ruth, David, Elisha, Daniel, Esther, Paul and John.

Observe that the combination of this 12-fold anointing will give us the anointing of the fulness of Christ, as the strengths in the lives of some of these people cancel out the weaknesses in the lives of others. For instance, the purity in the life of Joseph cancels the weakness of adultery in the life of David.

So if there is a delay as the season of Tabernacles unfolds, we must not despair but wait actively (not passively) in watching and prayer in obedience to the prophetic Word: though it tarry, wait for it, for it will surely come and not tarry!
