The human race is now in the third one-thousand-year period from the birth of Christ, which is also the seventh one-thousand-year period from Adam. To the average Christian this does not mean very much, but there are some things that are very clear to all men. For example, more than ever before we are hearing of wars and rumors of wars world-wide, catastrophic disasters, famines, earthquakes of terrifying proportion in many unexpected places, and acts of mass destruction of human life on a scale of wickedness that defies human reason.

Are all these events just isolated disasters, or is there some common explanation for them all? I believe there is, at least, one man who would not have been the least bit surprised by the current trend of world events:

Matthew 24:5-12 KJV: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Jesus knew that this time would come, and even though most Christians are unprepared, Jesus left us with adequate warning and instruction in His Word concerning that fateful day of His return.

What is the Day of the Lord?

First of all, we need to understand that, from God’s perspective, one day does not mean a period of twenty-four hours:

2 Peter 3:8 KJV: But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Day of the Lord will actually span a period of about one-thousand years (Psalms 90:4), and it will be a day of many events which will be both glorious for some and terrible for others. The Bible says:

Malachi 4:5 KJV: Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:

After Two Days
Hosea 6:2 KJV: After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

Luke 13:32 KJV: And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

Since, from God’s perspective, one day is equivalent to a thousand years, the Day of the Lord must start after the Church is two-thousand years old, at the beginning of the third one-thousand year period from Christ. The third Day from Christ also happens to be the seventh Day from Adam (from Adam to Abraham is about 2000 years; see genealogies Genesis 5; 11:10-32, and Abraham lived about 2000 years before Christ, spanning forty-two generations, Matthew 1:17):

Genesis 2:2 KJV: And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

Prophetically speaking, the Seventh Day is the Lord’s day, a day in which the Church is going to enter experientially into the rest of God:

Hebrews 4:4,8-11 KJV: For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, and God did rest the seventh day from all his works. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Thus the day of the Lord is 3rd. millennium from Christ or seventh from Adam.

It is the day in which the church will be perfected and that perfect church will preach and demonstrate the gospel of the Kingdom to all nations or tribes for a witness before Jesus catches away or raptures the church and returns physically for the millennial reign after the great tribulation.

So the day of the Lord starts at the end of the 2nd. millennium and beginning of the 3rd. day or millennium from Christ:

We can now place the beginning of the Day of the Lord to be any time from around 1996 AD to around 2,000 AD (Historians tell us that Jesus was actual born in the year 4 BC).

So we are NOW in the day of Lord!

Events of the Day of Lord

Having established what the Day of the Lord is and when it started, what are we to expect to happen in that Day?

Many Christians are simply enduring the hardship of the times, while hopefully waiting for Jesus to return at the rapture to take them away to heaven.

Unfortunately, these Christians are living in a dream and will be woken with a rude shock. Many of them will still go to heaven, but not the way they think, if they do not pay heed to the prophetic voice.

There are 7 major events that will take place in the Day of the Lord culminating in the 2nd. coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for the millennial reign, and we will now examine them briefly in chronological order.

1) Perfection and tribulation of the Church

The perfection of the Church is the event that marks the very beginning of the Day of the Lord.

There are several common names used to describe this move of God. e.g. the manifestation of the sons of God, the latter rain move, the man-child company, the glorious church etc.

In this move Christ is not coming for us (as he will at the rapture), but He is coming in us (in perfection):

Malachi 3:1 KJV: Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. 2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV: What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Colossians 1:27,28 KJV: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

2 Corinthians 7:1 KJV: Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

The kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21), and the perfection of the Church marks the coming of God’s kingdom in fullness in us.

Luke 17:21 KJV: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Matthew 13:31-33 KJV: Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. 33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

The King is Jesus, and His dominion is in the hearts of men. The kingdom of God, therefore, speaks of the total dominion of the character of Christ, the fruit of the Spirit (Romans 14:17; Galatians 5:22), over the spirit, soul, body, and circumstances of the believer.

Romans 14:17 KJV: For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

We are the temple of God, and God is going to cleanse us (those who submit to the purification fire), and inhabit us in our flesh in fulness and not just in an earnest or deposit measure as he has since we were born-again and filled with the Holy Ghost.

Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV: In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Acts 2:38 KJV: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Ephesians 4:7 KJV: But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

When this happens, we will have the fulness and not just the earnest of the Spirit in our flesh: the Spirit without measure as Jesus did; so we will walk in the same holiness, displaying the same degree of power, as Christ Himself did while on earth.

John 3:34 KJV: For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

John 14:12 KJV: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Tribulation of the Church:

As this is happening, however, God is going to bring severe judgement and tribulation upon the rest of the Church, who are not among these people, to teach the rest of the Church righteousness unto perfection:

1 Peter 4:17 KJV: For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Isaiah 26:9 KJV: With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

God will use this perfect Church as a standard by which to judge those who have been carried away by covetousness and rebellion, firstly among the present leadership of the Church and then secondly among they that follow them.

2 Peter 2:1-3 KJV: But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

This judgement in the Church will cause many in the Church to be offended, to be deceived by false prophets and cause their love to wax cold:

Matthew 24:10-12 KJV: And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

In fact as many as two-thirds of the church will be cut-off and die spiritually or backslide because of God’s judgments: this is why this time is called the tribulation of the church:

Zech 13:7-8 KJV: Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. 8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

The remaining one-third in the church will be purified by the fire of tribulation:

Zechariah 13:9 KJV: And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Malachai 3:2-4 KJV: But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: 3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. 4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

So, we see that the purpose of the tribulation of the church is to purify the church so that God will have a perfect church in this day of the Lord.

A perfect church is one with a leadership which is operating in the perfection and fulness of Christ with a fully submitted followership who may not be perfect but are following the teachings and example of the perfect leadership with an honest and humble heart.

1 Corinthians 1:10 KJV: Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

In fact many of two-thirds that are cut off or fall away will rise again and return to the church in genuine repentance, like the prodigal son, to be fully submitted to the new perfect leadership of refined gold and silver God would have used to replace the bad shepherds he smote and cutoff earlier.

In Luke 15:18 the prodigal son repents and says:

Luke 15:18 KJV: I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

God the Father will receive these prodigal sons back into the family: they who had died spiritually will be made alive again:

Luke 15:32 KJV: It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Thus many of the Christians that backslide or are cut-off during this tribulation of the church will be saved by the fire of tribulation but will suffer the loss of experiencing the purification they would have experienced as gold or silver and its attendant eternal rewards:

1 Corinthians 3:15 KJV: If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer lossbut he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

2) World evangelism and discipleship

A time will come when some of the first-fruits of the perfect Church begin to walk in the fullness of the stature of Christ. Only then will we be a true and faithful witness of the gospel of the kingdom. This is because the kingdom will be fully developed inside us, in character, and fully demonstrated externally by us in power, just as it was in Christ:

Matthew 24:14 KJV: And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The perfect Church comprises of a leadership walking in the full stature of Christ and a followership, walking in the principles of perfection, fully submitted, with a perfect heart, to this perfect leadership.

This is the Church that will take the full gospel of the King’s dominion around the entire world making disciples in all nations or people-groups: tribes with a unique tongue. Practically this means that the perfect church will reach all people-groups and plant and disciple a perfect church within each tribe. A perfect church is one with a perfect leadership and a fully submitted followership. This perfect church within each tribe will be a witness to that particular tribe by preaching, living and demonstrating the fulness of the Kingdom to their own people.

John 17:23 KJV: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Thus this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached to all tribes for a witness and then the end shall come as the rapture of the perfect church.

3) Rapture of the perfect church

After the glorious Church has done the work of world evangelism and discipleship then the rapture will take place at God’s appointed time. The glorious, perfect Church (the man-child company; Revelation 12:5) will be literally taken up to heaven in a moment:

Revelation 12:5 KJV: And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 KJV: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

4) Great Tribulation of the World

After the glorious Church has been raptured, the world, and the many Christians who are left behind, will experience seven years of the greatest tribulation in human history. The details of this event can be found in various places in the Bible, e.g. Revelation 6-19; Matthew 24:15-31.

During the first half of this time God will send two prophets (the two witnesses) to the earth to prophesy and bring judgement upon the earth for the first three and a half years:

Revelation 11:3 KJV: And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Before the main rapture, the natural nation of Israel had wholly, as a nation (though not individually), rejected Christ as their Messiah. During the first half of the tribulation, however, the Bible tells us that one hundred and forty-four thousand Jews will come into perfection (Revelation 7: 4;14:4-5):

Revelation 7:4 KJV: And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Revelation 14:1-5 KJV: And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

After this, the Antichrist rises to power in the middle of the tribulation and is divinely permitted to kill the two witnesses. However, the two witnesses will be resurrected three and a half days after they are killed and, together with the 144,000 Jews, are caught up to heaven in a cloud (i.e. raptured; Revelation 7:3-8;14:1-5;11:11,12).

Revelation 11:11-12 KJV: And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

The Antichrist’s reign of terror then increases to its peak and continues for another three and a half years: Revelation 11:7; Revelation 13:1,5,7; Matthew 24:15; Daniel 9:27;12:1,7

Revelation 13:1 KJV: And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

Revelation 13:5 KJV: And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Revelation 13:7 KJV: And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

The Antichrist will sit in the temple in Jerusalem and make himself a god to the people of the world. He will force all men to receive his mark, number or name upon their hands or foreheads to signify their submission to him. Without this mark they will not be able to buy or sell in the market. Some of the Christians left behind by both raptures will give in to pressure and deny Christ by taking the mark of the Antichrist. Others will prefer to be killed for refusing to take the mark, becoming martyrs (Revelation 14:9-13,20:4).

Revelation 14:9-13: And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Revelation 20:4 KJV: And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

A few Christians will refuse the mark and still escape death by fleeing successfully from the clutches of the Antichrist until the end of the tribulation (Matthew 24:15-18).

Matthew 24:15-18 KJV: When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

The Antichrist will also target his persecution against the natural nation of Israel, whether born-again or not.

The final event of the great tribulation will be the battle of Armageddon (Revelation 16:14,16;19:11-21).

Revelation 16:14 KJV: For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Revelation 16:16 KJV: And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

At this great battle the Antichrist and the kings of the earth gather together with the intention of destroying Jerusalem. However, they are defeated by Christ and His saints as they descend from heaven in full view of their enemies (Matthew 24:29-30; Zechariah 14:1-4; Revelation 19:11,14,15,19,20,21)

Revelation 19:11-21 KJV: And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

As Christ and His saints descend from heaven in full view of their enemies there will also be another rapture, occurring simultaneously. This will include all the saints still left alive (if they have not denied the Lord). It will also include the tribulation martyrs, who have been waiting in heaven for the end of the tribulation (Matthew 24:30-31; Revelation 6:9-11)

Matthew 24:30-31 KJV: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Revelation 6:9-11 KJV: And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

5) The Millennial Reign of Christ

When the Lord Jesus concludes His second coming at the battle of Armageddon, He will commence his millennial reign upon the earth.

The millennial reign of Christ is going to be a time of profound peace, righteousness and order, for Satan will be locked up in the bottomless pit to prevent him from deceiving anyone (Revelation 20:2-3). The Lord Jesus will rule with a rod of iron from Jerusalem and all His resurrected saints will rule under Him in various capacities: Revelation 20:6, Luke 19:17,19.

Revelation 20:6 KJV: Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The Lord Jesus and His resurrected saints will be glorified and eternal, but the nations of people we will be ruling over will be natural men who survived the 7 years of the great tribulation of the world. These natural men and women will, of course, be marrying, giving birth, living and dying as is expected of mortals.

Mortal men, during the millennium, will enjoy long life and prosperity, but must still accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Those who do not will die young, at 100 years old! (Isaiah 65:18-21) and go to hell. Those who accept Christ will, of course, go to heaven when they die.

Isaiah 65:18-21 KJV: But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. 20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

Towards the end of the one-thousand years, Satan will be released again to stir up rebellion in the hearts of all mortal men who have secretly rejected Christ. These rebels will then form another great army. As this army foolishly marches against Jerusalem with the intention of destroying it, God will simply destroy them all with fire from heaven (Revelation 20:7-10).

6) The Great White Throne judgement

After destroying the rebellious armies, Christ will perform the last judgement: John 5:22; Revelation 20:11-12

John 5:22 KJV: For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Revelation 20:11-13 KJV: And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

At the last judgement, all men who have not been resurrected thus far will be raised up and judged. Many of the people involved in this judgement will be sinners who have been waiting in hell.

The judgement also includes some saints, who were not involved in any previous resurrection (rapture), and have been waiting in heaven until now (including those who lived and died during the millennium). The Bible says they will be judged out of the books: the book of life, the Lamb’s book of life , the Bible and the records of the personal lives of those being judged: Revelation 20:15; Matthew 25:31-46

Matthew 25:31-32 KJV: When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Revelation 20:13-15 KJV: And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Matthew 25:46 KJV: And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Saints thereafter will go to be with God in His eternal kingdom, but sinners will go to the lake of fire.

7) The Eternal Kingdom of God

The final event of this story will be the creation of a new heaven and a new earth, and the setting up of God’s eternal kingdom, of which the Bible says: 2 Peter 3:12-13;1 Corinthians 15:24 ; Revelation 21:1-3

2 Peter 3:12-13 KJV: Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

1 Corinthians 15:24 KJV: Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Revelation 21:1-3 KJV: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

After this there will be no more sin, or rebellion forever.
