THE SIGN OF HIS GLORY
(week 40/12)
OLUBI JOHNSON

In our last articles on understanding the end-times, we saw that the end-time is divided into three periods as shown in

Matthew 24:3 KJV: And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

1. The destruction of the temple and Jerusalem in AD 70.

2. The signs of His coming

3. The end of the world.

We are living now in 2012 AD in the second period: the signs of His coming; and we have seen and continue to see with increasing frequency and severity the signs of His coming as shown in

Matthew 24:6-8 KJV: And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet(7) For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  (8)  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

However there is one sign we have not yet seen: the sign of His glory, which will be the last sign of this second period and will end this period; in fact without this sign this period will not end.

What is this sign of His glory?

It is the manifestation of the glory of God through a perfect man-child church, consisting of a mature leadership operating in perfection and a fully submitted followership of spiritual children operating under their covering with a borrowed anointing doing great signs and wonders.

Isaiah 8:18 KJV: Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

This company of saints though initially small (Lk. 12:32, Rev.3:8) in number ((100-500) as typified by Gideon’s army (Jugd. 7:7), David’s army (1 Sam. 30:9) and the early church in the upper room (Act. 1:15)) from beyond the rivers of Ethiopia (Is. 18:1-7, Zeph. 3:10-20), will be a sign to the rest of the church causing many other Christians to join them, forming large perfection armies typified by Joel’s (Joel. 2:2-11) and Ezekiel’s armies (Ezk. 37:10).

This great army of saints manifesting the glory of God will break, rule and disciple the nations (every tribe, tongue and kindred (Rev. 7:9) by preaching and demonstrating (1 Cor. 2:4) the gospel of the Kingdom (Rom. 14:17, Lk.17:21) and so end this second period of the end-time.

Matthew 24:14 KJV: And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

When this has been accomplished, the perfect man-child church will be ‘caught up’ or raptured and so allow the emergence of the fullness of the anti-Christ spirit (2 Th. 2:3-8) to start the great tribulation (Mt. 24:15-31, Rev. 6-19) and the last period of the end-time: the end of the world or this age. At the end of this, the Lord Jesus will return physically and begin the millennial reign (Rev. 19:11-20:4).

It is instructive to note that this sign of His glory will also fulfil the feast of Tabernacles, which typifies the harvest of the fruit of the Spirit: perfection of the love of God and the consequent harvest of the nations. Millions will be born-again, filled with the Holy Spirit and grow into perfection from all nations.

We see this truth prophesied by Isaiah in

Isaiah 60:1-5 NIV:  “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.  (2) See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. (3) Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.  (4)  “Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm.  (5) Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.

It is instructive to note that this event does not take place during the millennial reign or during the period of the end of the world (the great tribulation); rather, it is the manifestation of the man-child company which prepares the way for firstly, the great tribulation after the ‘catching up’ of the man-child company and then after that the millennial reign: there will be no gross darkness or enemies (Ps. 110:1-3) for the man-child to rule over (even though in the manifold wisdom of God (Eph. 3.10) these scriptures also refer to the coming of the Lord Jesus at the end of the great tribulation to destroy the armies of the anti- Christ (Rev. 19:11-21) and begin the millennial reign) during the millennium since Satan will be locked in the pit! (Rev. 20:1-3).

This beginning of this sign of God’s glory is imminent NOW as we are in the season of the feast of Tabernacles at the time of this writing October 2012 prophesied to be the year of divine government.
