ZION PROSPERITY
(week 14/11)
OLUBI JOHNSON

Psalms 50:2 AMP: Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.

Zion symbolically represents the perfect church: the church that has entered and possessed the ‘Promised Land’ of the perfection and fullness of Christ.

Deuteronomy 15:4 AMP: But there will be no poor among you, for the Lord will surely bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance to possess,

Here, the scripture tells us that there will be no poor among God’s people who have possessed the Promised Land: in other words, there will be no poor members of the Zion or perfect church.

The purpose of this prophetic article is to show us how God is preparing us for this now and how you as an individual can be a part of it.

Recall that a perfect church is one that has a leadership operating in the perfection and fullness of Christ and consequently a fully submitted followership.

Now, since this perfect church is diligently keeping God’s commandments of life and love, they will prosper greatly materially and financially according to

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 AMP: IF YOU will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.  (2)  And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God.

Deuteronomy 28:11-13 AMP: And the Lord shall make you have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.  (12)  The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.  (13)  And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them.

As this is taking place, those who are rich in the church will lend to and empower the poor by giving them finances to practice and invest in profitable ventures. Now, such loans will be cancelled after seven years during which time the poor brethren too would have become rich. They too now will help other poor brethren and so the cycle will continue until there there no poor amongst us according to the scripture.

Deuteronomy 15:1-2 NIV: At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts.  (2)  This is how it is to be done: Every creditor shall cancel the loan he has made to his fellow Israelite. He shall not require payment from his fellow Israelite or brother, because the LORD’s time for canceling debts has been proclaimed.

Deuteronomy 15:6-11 NIV: For the LORD your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.  (7)  If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.  (8)  Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs.  (9)  Be careful not to harbor this wicked thought: “The seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near,” so that you do not show ill will toward your needy brother and give him nothing. He may then appeal to the LORD against you, and you will be found guilty of sin.  (10)  Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.  (11)  There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.

We will always have the poor with us: because we will always have people around us who are not born-again or, not yet in Zion; but there will be no poor amongst us in Zion.

Furthermore, this Zion prosperity will also bless the society we live in according to

Proverbs 11:10-11 MKJV: When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; and when the wicked are destroyed, there issinging. (11) By the blessing of the upright the city is lifted up, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

How will the blessing of the church exalt or bless an entire city or nation?

By the very rich in the church investing in profitable ventures made extremely successful by the wisdom, power and favour of God; now the dividends from these investments will be poured back into society to greatly subsidize food production, quality health care and education. So, everybody will have access to good food, healthcare and education, paid for privately (and many times anonymously) through individuals in the Zion church, not government: so by-passing governmental corruption and bureaucracy.

Government can have interest, but not control, in some of these investments, to avoid the inefficiencies and corruption of human governments run by unregenerate men.

With this happening, it will be unnecessary for government to impose ultra-heavy taxes (over 40-50%) on private enterprise to fund social programs so discouraging private enterprise: the key to innovation and wealth creation.

Government investment (the dividends from which Government will also get great revenue) in these private enterprises  will be an incentive for innovation and creativity; on the other hand government over taxing (over 20-30%) of private enterprise stifles innovation and creativity because the motivation for profit is divinely put in man and so inspires innovation and creativity according to

Isaiah 48:17 AMP: Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way that you should go.

So, the prosperity of Zion will translate into the prosperity of those nations in which Zion churches emerge to fulfill the reality of

Psalms 144:12-15 NIV: Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.  (13)  Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields; (14) our oxen will draw heavy loads. There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets.  (15)  Blessed are the people of whom this is true; blessed are the people whose God is the LORD.

This is a picture of the great social, economic, agricultural and industrial prosperity of nations prospered by God through the Zion churches in those nations that will be fulfilled in this 3rd day before the Lord Jesus returns: it will be a taste of the powers of the Millennial age to come (Heb. 6:5).

It is easy to see from the above how this Zion prosperity will be a witness of the gospel of the Kingdom to all nations so ushering in the end of this age (Mt. 24:14).

To partake of this as an individual, come into Zion by growing into the perfection and fullness of Christ as the fulfilment of Zion’s prosperity is presently imminent!
