MANIFESTING THE PRESENCE OF GOD 2
(week 35/10)
OLUBI JOHNSON

In our article last week, we saw that while God’s person can be in one location, His presence is everywhere because His power that emanates from His person makes Him omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.

This week, we want to see how to manifest physically the reality of God’s presence, wisdom and power.

Firstly, the reality of the presence of the invisible God is shown physically when we speak in tongues (a language either human or angelic (1 Cor. 13:1) that is unknown to us mentally) by the utterance of the Holy Spirit (Ac. 2:4).

This is similar to the reality of an invisible radio or mobile phone wave being made manifest by the voices you hear from the radio or mobile phone.

Secondly, the wisdom of God is made manifest through us when we receive the wisdom of God by revelation (2 Cor. 4.6) in our hearts, which when acted upon produces tremendous results that could only be divine in origin. Excellent examples of this are the wisdom of God revealed through Joseph and Daniel:

Genesis 41:34-40 MKJV: Let Pharaoh act, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years. (35) And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up grain under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. (36) That food shall be for a store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt, so that the land does not perish through the famine. (37) And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. (38) And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find any man like this, in whom the Spirit of God is? (39) And Pharaoh said to Joseph, since God has shown you all this, no one is as discreet and wise as you. (40) You shall be over my house, and all my people shall kiss the hand at your word. Only in the throne will I be greater than you.

Daniel 2:44-49 MKJV: And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other peoples, but it shall crush and destroy all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. (45) Because you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it crushes the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what shall occur after this. And the dream is certain, and its meaning is sure. (46) Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face and worshiped Daniel, and he commanded to offer an offering and incense to him. (47) The king answered Daniel and said, It is true that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret. (48) Then the king made Daniel great, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over all the province of Babylon, and chief of the prefects over all the wise men of Babylon. (49) And Daniel asked the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego over the affairs of the province of Babylon. But Daniel sat in the gate of the king.

Observe that in both the cases of Joseph and Daniel, heathen kings acknowledged the fact that this was the wisdom of God in manifestation: they acknowledged the manifest presence of God with Joseph and Daniel.

In this same way, in this 3rd day, the perfect church by revelation is to make manifest the wisdom of God to the nations of the earth:

Isaiah 60:1-3 MKJV: Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of Jehovah has risen on you. (2) For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but Jehovah shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you. (3) And the nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawning.

Daniel 5:14 AMP: I have heard of you, that the Spirit of the holy God [or gods] is in you and that light and understanding and superior wisdom are found in you.

Isaiah 45:14 MKJV: So says Jehovah, the labor of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia, and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come to you, and they shall be yours. They shall come after you in chains; and they shall cross in chains and they shall fall down to you. They shall plead to you, saying, surely God is in you; and none else, no other God.

Finally, we are to make manifest the presence of God by His power; we will do this on a consistent basis by inheriting the power of the Holy Spirit without measure like the Lord Jesus did so raising the dead, healing incurable sicknesses, performing workings of miracles like walking on water (Mt. 14:25-33) and turning water to wine (Jn. 2:11) on a consistent basis like Jesus did.

John 20:30 NIV: Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.

John 21:25 NIV: Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

1 John 4:17 MKJV: In this is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, that as He is, so also we are in this world.

We will even do greater works than the Lord Jesus did like Moses splitting the Red Sea (Ex.14:14-28); Joshua stopping the earth rotating for about 24 hours (Josh. 10:12-13).

John 14:12 ESV: Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.

These spectacular manifestations of God’s wisdom and power will be undeniable evidences of His manifest presence in and with us!
