Integrity of God’s Word
(week 15/04)

Psalms 138:2 NKJV: I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

Numbers 23:19 NKJVGod is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

Hebrews 6:17-19 NKJV: Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

Jeremiah 1:12 NAS: Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.”

These scriptures reveal to us the integrity of God’s Word:

God has magnified His Word above His name: this means God Himself is subject to His own Word.

God cannot break His Word: it is impossible for God to lie or not to fulfill His Word or promises.

God is constantly paying attention to watch over His Word to perform it: so when you speak or pray according to His Word you have His attention to see to it that His Word is fulfilled in your situation.

What is integrity anyway?

It is honesty, reliability and consistency.

God’s Word is honest because God is righteous.

God’s Word reliable because God is omnipotent and omniscient. God’s Word is consistent because God is omnipresent.

All of the glory and majesty of divine nature, wisdom and power back God’s Word: so it is 100% reliable: you can stake your life on it and you will not be disappointed.

Why should you rely on the integrity of the written Word?

Because there in lies all the plan and purposes of God for every individual life and all of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge:

Revelation 22:19 NKJV: and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Colossians 2:2-3 NKJV: in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

For instance, the scientific fact of Einstein’s theory of relativity, that time dilates or gets slower as speeds approach the speed of light, is hidden in this scripture:

2 Peter 3:8 NKJV: But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years,

Also the fact that the earth is round is revealed in scripture:

Isaiah 40:22 NKJV: It is He who sits above the circle of the earth,

The ministry of the apostle Paul as a light to the Gentiles was hidden and revealed in this scripture:

Acts 13:47 NKJV: For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’

Isaiah 42:6 NKJV: I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles,

How do you enjoy the integrity of God’s Word?

By reading, studying, confessing, meditating and practicing in faith God’s written Word.

As you speak God’s Word in faith and pray in the spirit, with an attitude of the fear of God and the love of God, God will watch over His Word in your life to perform it and not one jot or tittle will fail to come to pass (Matt. 5.18).
