Removing The Veil
(week 23/09)

We are presently living in a time (2008-2009) that is prophetically typified by Noah’s stay in the ark on Mount Ararat with the flood waters receding, finally drying up, and culminating in the removal of the covering of the ark and the final exit of Noah, his family and the animals from the ark to replenish the earth.

Genesis 8:4-5 ESV and in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. (5) And the waters continued to abate until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.

The mountains here, typify prayer and the ‘tops’ of the mountains refer to revelation and understanding the highest operation of prayer: prayer to perfect the love of God and enforce the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is the kingdom or the dominion of love, for God is love!

Isaiah 2:2 ESV It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it,

The house of the Lord is love:

1 John 4:16 ESV so we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

Genesis 8:13-19 ESV In the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried from off the earth. And Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and behold, the face of the ground was dry. (14) In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth had dried out. (15) Then God said to Noah, (16) “Go out from the ark, you and your wife, and your sons and your sons’ wives with you. (17) Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh–birds and animals and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth–that they may swarm on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.” (18) So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him. (19) Every beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that moves on the earth, went out by families from the ark.

The ark here typifies the revelation and practice of the perfection of the love of God by the blood, the Word and the Spirit.

Song of Solomon 8:7 ESV (7) Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised.

1 John 4:12-18 ESV No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. (13) By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. (14) And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world. (15) Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. (16) So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (17) By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. (18) There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

The flood waters typify the flood of iniquity and spiritual death that is currently abounding in the earth and overwhelming those not in the ark of love: even Christians who have a name that they live but are dying spiritually:

Revelation 12:15 ESV the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, to sweep her away with a flood.

Matthew 24:12 ESV and because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.

Romans 5:20-21 ESV Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, (21) so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Peter 1:2-4 MKJV Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, (3) according as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue, (4) through which He has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Revelation 3:1-2 ESV “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. “‘I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. (2) Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God.

In our article next week, we will see how those in the ark begin to ‘see’ more clearly as the flood waters recede, the covering is removed and they eventually exit the ark!
