THE SWEET ODOURS OF ESTHER
(week 03/17)
OLUBI JOHNSON

Revelation 5:8  And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

Odours or incense are symbolic of our prayers:

Psalms 141:2 KJV:  Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Esther 2:12 KJV:  Now when every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)

The sweet odours of Esther prophetically and symbolically speak of the kind of prayers the 3rd. day Church growing into the perfection and fulness of Christ will be praying in this year 2017 and onwards.

We are NOW in 2017, a prophetically significant time indicated by the recovery of 21 of the Nigerian Chibok girls on October 14 2016 EXACTLY 2 years and six months (Esther 2:12) after their abduction. This is spiritually significant as it is indicative of the fact that the spiritual war in the heavens over Nigeria that INTENSIFIED with their abduction at the onset of the blood tetrad EXACTLY on April 14 2014 is NOW BEING WON by the Zion church in Nigeria to become a glorious church purified by the washing of the water of the Word (Ephesians 5:26) to be presented before the Lord in the redemption of our physical bodies as Esther was prepared and purified to be presented before King Ahasuerus as typified in

Revelation 12:7 KJV:  And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, (8)  And prevailed not;…..

Revelation 12:10 KJV:  And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, NOW is come salvation, and strength, and THE KINGDOM of our God and the power of His Christ….

Ephesians 5:25-27 KJV:  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, (26)  that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, (27)  that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

These prayers are ‘sweet’ because of the fresh and clearer revelation of the mercy of God that is superimposed upon the prayers causing these prayers to cause us to TRIUMPH ALWAYS.

Ecclesiastes 11:7 KJV:  Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:

Ephesians 1:17-18 KJV:  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: (18)  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;..

An excellent example of this is shown in the mercy of God released through the ministry of angels on the prayers of the Lord Jesus in Gethsemane that caused Him to triumph in His obedience to God to go to the cross:

Luke 22:41-46 KJV:  And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, (42)  Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. (43)  And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. (44)  And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. (45)  And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, (46)  And said unto them, Why sleep ye? Rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

This truth is symbolized in the place of prayer given to God by Moses over the mercy seat between the Cherubims and confirmed by Jude in:

Exodus 25:22 KJV:  And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

Jude 1:20-21 KJV:  But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, (21)  Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

So in this year of 2017 and onwards, we should always pray with a fresh revelation of the mercy of God being superimposed on our prayers through the ministry of angels to cause us to triumph ALWAYS so making all our prayers ‘the sweet odours of Esther’!
