Highway to Zion 2
week 44/08
Olubi Johnson

In our article last week, we saw that there is a ‘way’ and ‘highway’ that will take us from the ‘wilderness’ of spiritual immaturity into the promised land of the perfection and fullness of Christ.

Isaiah 35:8 And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called, The Way of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it. But He shall be with them; the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err in it.

The ‘way’ is the praying to walk in the love of God by the Blood, the Word and the Spirit:

1 Corinthians 12:31 ESV (31) But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.

1 Corinthians 14:1 ESV Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. Now when you first begin praying this prayer, you will be praying without revelation (2 Corinthians 4.6) as it were in the ‘outer court’. However if you continue to pray this prayer with a pure motive: not just to get answers to prayer (1John 3.22) but to become more like God (1 John 3.2-3), this purity will cause you to begin to ‘see’ God by revelation.

John 14:21-23 He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. (22) Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself to us and not to the world? (23) Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart! For they shall see God.

When this begins to happen you will make the transition from the ‘way’ to the ‘highway’ from as it were the ‘outer court’ into the ‘Holy Place’.

When you initially enter the ‘highway’ you are spiritually foolish since you did not have the spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1.17-18):

Luke 24:25 And He said to them, O fools and slow of heart to believe all things that the prophets spoke! However, as you continue in the ‘highway’ you will become wise and so you will not err therein.

Isaiah 35:8 And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called, The Way of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it. But He shall be with them; the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err in it.

Furthermore on this ‘way’ and ‘highway’ there will be no influence of the satanic beast nature (Revelation. 13.1) to contaminate the Word of God.

The Word of God prayed on this ‘way’ will be 100% pure without any beastly satanic influence distorting the Word through the darkness (Ephesians 4.18) of the carnal mind:

Isaiah 35:9 No lion shall be there, nor any beast of prey shall go up on it; it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there.

So it is vital now to get on ‘the way of love’ to Zion and make the transition from the ‘way’ to the ‘highway’ so you will not err.
