How to Receive From God Daily
(week 42/03)
Olubi Johnson

Romans 13:8-10 (KJV): Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

1 John 3:22-23 (KJV): And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

In these scriptures we see the key to fulfilling all of God’s requirements to be able to receive from Him.

We are told that love is the fulfilling of the law: in other words if you keep yourself in the love of God you will not break any other of God’s commandments and you will automatically fulfill all of God’s commandments and position yourself to be able to receive whatever you ask from God.

So to daily receive from God:

1. Use the name of Jesus to receive the life of God according to

John 20:31 (KJV): But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

The life of God is, as it were, the fuel for prayer that causes the confessions of the Word we make immediately after receiving life to be powerful and creative.

2. We then confess that we love as God commanded us to according 1 Corinthians. 13.4-8.

3. We pray in tongues in between our confessions of the love of God

This releases the mercy and grace of the Lord Jesus, the High Priest of our confession (Hebrews. 3.1, 4. 14-16), so that we will find it easier to do what we confess by faith (when we pray in tongues it is actually Jesus praying through us, for us by the supernatural utterance of the Holy Spirit [Acts. 2.4, John 16.13, Romans 8.26-27, Hebrews 7.25]).

A practical prayer format or pattern for doing this in spite of your busy schedule is given below:

MINIMUM* THINGS TO DO DAILY TO KEEP YOURSELF IN THE LOVE OF GOD NO MATTER HOW BUSY YOU ARE

1. Acknowledge the Holy Spirit as a person (Proverbs. 3.6)

“Holy Spirit please come and help me and give me mercy unto eternal life to walk in love and please you in all I do today, thank you.”

Pray in tongues for a short while say 10-15 seconds and as you pray in tongues determine in your heart to practice what you have just confessed. Time- about 1 minute

2. Choose the fear of God (Proverbs. 1.29)

“In Jesus name I have life”

” I choose to fear God so, I humble myself by submitting to the will of God even when I don’t feel like it especially in prayer knowing the certainty of His chastening if I disobey and the security of His mercy when I obey”.

Pray in tongues for a short while, and as you pray determine in your heart to walk in the fear of God. Time- about 1 minute

3. Determine not to be offended and to keep yourself in the love of God (Psalms. 119.165, Jude 20,21)

“In Jesus name I have life”

“I keep myself in the love of God by not allowing anything or anyone to offend me and by constantly asking the Holy Spirit for mercy unto eternal life to be faithful: in watchful praying in the spirit, binding the devil in the air and taking and doing righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit during temptations so I’m more than a conqueror in all things.”

Pray in tongues for a short while as above and as you pray determine practice what you have just confessed. Time- about 1 minute

4. Pray for wisdom and revelation because is the principal part of love (Proverbs. 4. 7)

“In Jesus name I have life”

“Father please give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the present complete knowledge of You to grow into the perfection and fullness of Christ in Jesus name.

Pray in tongues for a short while as described above. Time- about 1 minute

5. Confessions to walk in love according to 1 Corinthians. 13. 4-8

“In Jesus name I have life”

“I am patient and kind in all things, I am forbearing and longsuffering, I am not jealous or envious. I rejoice at the blessing of others. I am not boastful; I boast and glory only of Jesus Christ because God gave me all I have.”

Pray in tongues for a short while as above determining to practice what you have just confessed. Time- about 1 minute

“I am not proud; I am courteous to my fellow brethren and treat them with respect either big or small. I am always polite and not rude to others.”

Pray in tongues for a short while as above determining to practice what you have just confessed. Time- about 1 minute

“I do good to all men including myself but I am not selfish so I seek the good of others also. I do not insist on my own rights or my own way except when it concerns the vital will of God and even then with meekness and reverence.”

Pray in tongues for a short while as above determining to practice what you have just confessed. Time- about 1 minute

“I forgive people when they wrong me and pray that God will give life to them to help them to repent, relating to them in wisdom but without bitterness.”

Pray in tongues for a short while as above determining to practice what you have just confessed. Time- about 1 minute

“I do not worry. I cast all my cares and burdens on Jesus. I love righteousness and hate sin and wickedness. I do not rejoice when others go wrong, I pray for them. I am always ready to believe the best of others, I never give up on them even when they are wrong. I keep praying for them.”

Pray in tongues for a short while as above determining to practice what you have just confessed. Time- about 1 minute

All of this praying just takes about 10-15 minutes daily.

You should do this as the first thing everyday before you say other prayers and read your Bible because these prayers to walk in the fear and love of God position you to be able to receive from God answers to all other prayers.
