Taking the Kingdom
(week 24/03)
Olubi Johnson

Romans 14:17 (KJV): For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 11:12 (KJV): And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

The scripture reveals to us that the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

However this righteousness, peace and joy have to be taken violently by the force of spiritual arms: it is not automatic that because you are born-again you will walk in or experience righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Why do you have to take these things by force?

Because satanic power operating from the air on your mind and flesh is ever seeking to keep your mind and actions in unrighteousness, worry and depression which are the exact opposite to righteousness, peace and joy.

So how then do you take the Kingdom by the force of spiritual arms?

You do this by engaging in daily spiritual warfare as shared in our article last week.

In particular, if attacked with a thought or feeling of unrighteousness or immorality, you bind the spiritual force behind it operating from the air and then you take righteousness by force by confessing and acting on the Word concerning righteousness in the particular circumstance.

You say “spirit of unrighteousness or immorality I bind you in Jesus’ Name, I love righteousness and hate iniquity”. Then you act on the Word by abstaining from all appearances of evil and whatever else you need to do to overcome the temptation.

If attacked with a thought or feeling of worry, anxiety or confusion, bind the force behind it and confess and act on the Word.

Say “You spirit of worry, anxiety and confusion I bind you in Jesus’ Name, I do not have a spirit of fear, but of power, love and soundness of mind. The peace of God floods my mind in Jesus Name.” When tempted to worry keep saying and thinking on the Word of God to counteract the thoughts of worry, anxiety or confusion.

If attacked with a thought or feeling of depression, bind the force behind it and confess and act on the Word.

Say “You spirit of depression I bind you in Jesus Name. I rejoice and give thanks in all things, even in bad situations. The joy of the Lord is my strength for God causes all things to work together for my good”.

By doing this diligently with a background of habitual praying in the spirit and balanced bible reading you will be able to take the kingdom by force.
