LEADERSHIP, PERFECTION AND UNITY
(week 28/11)
Olubi Johnson

The perfection of unity in a body of believers is activated and enforced by the Lord through the covering of a leadership operating in cleansing perfection and maturity.

The covering provided by this perfect leadership activates the regular washing of feet (Jn. 13:13,34): cleansing of sin (1 Jn. 1:7-10), flow of the life of God (1 Jn. 5:16) and power of the Holy Spirit (Jn. 7:38-39) through and upon each member under their covering; at least once every six hours (2 Sam. 6:13; Mk. 13:35).

This condition is typified and depicted in

Psalms 133:1-3 MKJV: A Song of degrees; of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!  (2) It is like the precious ointment on the head that ran down on the beard, Aaron’s beard, that went down to the mouth of his garments;  (3) like the dew of Hermon that came down on the mountains of Zion; for there Jehovah commanded the blessing, life forevermore.

As this condition is consistently maintained, the measure of life and the power of the Holy Ghost increases sequentially each time sins are cleansed, life is released and the power of the Spirit flows through prayer in the Spirit.

Ultimately, the measure of the life and power of God released will reach a ‘breakthrough’ level that will cause the glory of God to come into manifestation causing members under this covering to become messengers of glory: a breaker company that will show the way to the glory of God to the rest of the body of Christ.

This truth is typified in

Micah 2:13 NIV: One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their king will pass through before them, the LORD at their head.”

2Corinthians 8:23 MKJV: If anyone inquires of Titus, he is my partner and fellow-worker for you, or of our brothers, they are the messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ.

It our article next week, we will see how the manifestation of the glory perfects the unity of the knowledge of perfection and fullness of Christ in the body of Christ.
