DESTINY IN SCRIPTURE
(week 24/11)

Romans 15:4 NIV: For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

1 Corinthians 10:6 AMP: Now these things are examples (warnings and admonitions) for us not to desire or crave or covet or lust after evil and carnal things as they did. [Num. 11:4, 34.]

Revelation 22:19 MKJV: And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book.

These scriptures reveal to us that the scriptures were written for every person: containing truths and lessons that will lead every man into his individual divinely ordained destiny.Furthermore, we see that there is a 3-stage destiny for every man: his part in the book of life: get born-again and go to heaven (Jn. 3:3); his part in the holy city:  get born-again and baptized in the Holy Spirit and so be enabled to do great supernatural works (Mk. 16:17-18) for God; and his part in the things written in the Bible: experience the perfection and fullness of Christ (Eph. 4:12-15). Sadly, many men do not fulfill any part of their destiny, while some fulfill only 1 or 2 stages.

It is the will of God that we fulfill all the 3 stages of our destiny hence this message.

Now, this divine destiny is hidden and scattered in scripture, so we need the revelation of the Holy Spirit to see, walk in and fulfill our destiny.

1 Corinthians 2:7 NIV: No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 NIV: However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”— (10) but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

Isaiah 28:13 NIV: So then, the word of the LORD to them will become: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there— so that they will go and fall backward, be injured and snared and captured.

Now, because this destiny is hidden and scattered in scripture it is easy to misunderstand it and so get injured, trapped and captured by Satan and so never fulfill it at all or only fulfill a part of it so suffering some loss of destiny.

Matthew 22:29 KJV: Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

2 John 1:8 NIV: Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.

In our article next week, we will see how to see and fulfill all of our individual unique destinies hidden in scripture.
