MAKING IMPACT BEFORE GOD
(week 47/17)
KUNLE SOKOYA, OLUBI JOHNSON AND GBOYEGA ADESIYAN

The Church of Jesus Christ and all creation await the manifestation of the Sons of God (Rom. 8:19,21 Ps. 14:7); a glorified, well trained, efficient overcoming army with zero tolerance for failure and sin; (Joel 2: 2-3). They are great and strong, thorough, focussed, one of a kind, army with absolute unity of heart and purpose that creates impact everywhere. God is in charge through apostolic fathers (the breaker company; (Mic 2:13)). This army birthed in the midst of gross darkness touches heaven and IMPACTS the earth!

Within the church, however, are children of God whose testimony is totally different. Dominated by the flesh and circumstances, they are rich and at ease in the Day of the Lord (Amos 5:18-20); a day when they should arise (Is. 60:1-2)!

This is so, because their love for God is lukewarm; they love pleasures more than God (2Tim. 3:2,4-5) so lack spiritual power and are spiritually poor (Pr. 21:17).

We are serving God at different levels and He wants to make us rulers over all He has!

Luke 12:42-44 KJV: And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom [his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give [them their] portion of meat in due season? (43) Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. (44) Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

Will you stay faithful to Him, His purpose and training or use your position to seek your glory, enjoy yourself (Lk. 12:45-46)? Jesus did not seek His glory (Jn. 8:50 AMP).

The attributes of the virtuous woman of (Proverbs 31:10-31) is also God’s picture of an ideal Christian, saints and the Church of Jesus Christ, being often prophetically represented in type by a woman (e.g. Rev. 5:6; 19:7).

The verses of scripture present us with a prototype of the kind of Christian who touches heaven and impacts lives.

For example, she, the Church, saint or virtuous woman, is strong spiritually (vs. 17, 21, 26), industrious (v.14,27), is faithful and denies herself to be inclusive of others (v.15); she leads by example and is a creator of wealth (vs.19,26) as she seeks the glory of God.

We make an impact before God and men by submitting to rigorous spiritual and other training (Gal. 4:1-2) in order to take up our true calling as kings and priests to our God (Rev.1:6). We cannot pick and choose training modules; we are to obey all we are commanded to do.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 MSG: Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another–showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. (17) Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us!

An attitude of meekness and lowliness of heart (Mt. 11:28-30) enables us to tap into abounding grace and mercy to triumph (Rom. 5:20). We use the Blood of Jesus frequently to maintain rightstanding (1Jn. 1:9) by simply saying “Father, I confess my sins to clean with the Blood”.

We, like David must first overcome the lion and the bear (1Sam. 17:34-36, Jas. 4:7). Always choosing forgiveness (Mt.18:35) and submission to prevail and to take our place in God’s army!

By humility, we practice instructions regarding praying in tongues, travail, confession, meditation, doing God’s Word, fasting and leading a fasted life. Refuse to be at ease (Amos 6:1). But go the extra mile and stretch yourself to the next level!

We should pay more earnest heed to the Word of God that we hear and read. It is our obedience to God’s Word that trains us to fear God, obey Him and acquire His humility and mind (Phil.2:5-8; 2Pet. 4:1-2; Matt. 11: 28-29) so our reign may be prolonged in God’s Kingdom.

In this time of gross darkness and of spiritual pressure, temptations, calamities, and persecutions, we must go deeper into God’s Word to find the Love way of escape (2 Pet. 1:2-4; 1Cor.10:13).

We are in His season of Grace and Glory (Ps. 84:11)! Use His Word to walk uprightly in Love into victory!

Finally, as the Lord grants us the grace, we must exercise ourselves to give to God’s constituency, the poor and needy; pray for them, that they too will be energised by the mercy and grace of God to arise and have a divine impact on the earth and comfort others, as they too have been comforted.
