Fulfilling All The Law
(week 37, 2006)

Matthew 5:17,18 KJV: “Think not that I am come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.” “For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall in any wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled.

Here, the Lord Jesus tells us that He came to fulfill all of the law and the prophets.

This means that in Christ we are to fulfill the spiritual substance of the shadows of the Old Testament ceremonial laws, the present day prophetic applications of the Old Testament stories and the moral requirements of the Ten Commandments.

Colossians 2:16-17 KJV: Let no man therefore judge you in regard to meat or drink, or in respect to a holy day or the new moon or the sabbath days, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ.

Hebrews 10:1 KJV: “For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come and not the very image of those things, can never, with those sacrifices which they offered continually year by year, make those who come unto it perfect.

1Peter 2:5 KJV: “Ye also as living stones are built up a spiritual house, a holy acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Romans 13.8-10 KJV: Owe no man anything, but to love one another, for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this: “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” “Thou shalt not kill,” “Thou shalt not steal,” “Thou shalt not bear false witness,” “Thou shalt not covet,” and if there be any other commandment, all are briefly comprehended in this saying, namely: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Romans 8.2-4: 2 KJV: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

We activate the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus by:

1. Cleaning our hearts with the blood of Jesus by confessing our sins (1 Jn. 1.7-2.2) priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices

How then are we to do this?

By fulfilling the law of love using the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

2. Loading our hearts with the life of God using the name of Jesus (Jn. 20.31, 1 Jn. 5.16)

3. Releasing the anointing on the written Word, the Christ (Jn. 1.1), by speaking God’s Word in faith.

4. Firing (Lu. 3.16) by the spirit by praying in tongues (Ac. 2.3-4), concerning the written Word we have just spoken or confessed (Heb. 3.1).

In doing this we are offering spiritual sin offerings, peace offerings, meal offerings and burnt offerings:

Sin offering: confession of our sins.

Peace offering: asking for life in Jesus Name since we have peace with God being justified by faith (Rom. 5.5).

Meal offering: the spoken Word with thanksgiving (Ps. 50.13-14).

Burnt offering: Praying in tongues releasing the fire of the Holy Spirit to burn up the sin nature in our flesh (Rom. 12.1, Mk 9.49) and in the air.

When we apply this to the love of God we are fulfilling all the law: ceremonial, moral and spiritual law.

Furthermore, as we do this and read our bibles with the spirit of wisdom and revelation (Eph. 1.17-23), the Holy Spirit, through the written Word, will show us things to come through shadows in the Old Testament stories. He will also enable us to fulfill all that is written concerning us in the volume of the book; fulfilling all that was written by the prophets concerning us.

John 16.13 KJV: However when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth; for He shall not speak from Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak; and He will show you things to come.

John 17:17 KJV: “Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy Word is truth.

Revelation 22:19 KJV: “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life and out of the Holy City, and from the things which are written in this book.

Psalms 40:7-8 KJV: Then said I, “Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me: 8 I delight to do Thy will, O my God; yea, Thy law is within my heart.

So by using the blood, the Word and the Spirit to walk in love we will fulfill all the law like Jesus said!
