DOMINION WEALTH IN SEASON OF SABBATIC RELEASE
(week 08/12)
OLUBI AND SARAH JOHNSON

Deuteronomy 15:1-6 AMP: AT THE end of every seven years you shall grant a release.  (2) And this is the manner of the release: every creditor shall release that which he has lent to his neighbor; he shall not exact it of his neighbor, his brother, for the Lord’s release is proclaimed.  (3) Of a foreigner you may exact it, but whatever of yours is with your brother [Israelite] your hand shall release.  (4) But there will be no poor among you, for the Lord will surely bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance to possess,  (5) If only you carefully listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to do watchfully all these commandments which I command you this day.  (6) When the Lord your God blesses you as He promised you, then you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.

This scripture tells us symbolically and prophetically that it is the will of God for the Church (spiritual Israel Gal. 3:29) to enjoy what we will call ‘dominion wealth’ or Zion prosperity in the Promised Land of the perfection and fulness of Christ.

This dominion wealth will be characterized by the fact that there will be individuals in the Church that will be rich enough to lend to nations and so be able to dominate and rule over them to be free to disciple such nations. This is so because the scripture says in

Proverbs 22:7 KJV:  The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

A prophetic trumpet (Is. 58.1) is now being blown (Joel 2:1, Num. 10:2) in the Church declaring that we are NOW entering a season of sabbatic release into this dominion wealth.

As shown in the scripture in Dt. 15:1, every seven years (hence the Word, Sabbatic; for the Sabbath day is the seventh day (Gen. 2:2-3) and the day of God’s rest) there was to be release in Israel from debts so that gradually there would be no poor person amongst them.

Spiritually, we are entering into such a season in the Church where God will so bless us financially that there will be no poor amongst us in the Zion Church; now, we will always have the poor with us but not amongst us in Zion in this season of Sabbatic release.

Now, what are we to do to experience this dominion wealth?

1. Our motives for wealth must be pure: to disciple the nations and bless the poor, the fatherless and the widows:

Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV: But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

James 1:27 KJV: Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Impure motives will hinder us from dominion wealth:

James 4:3 AMP:  [Or] you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives. Your intention is [when you get what you desire] to spend it in sensual pleasures.

So we must NOT be covetous (Eph. 3:3; Col 3:5), envious (Pr.27:4) and disobedient (Is. 1:19-20):

Job 36:11 KJV: If they obey and servehim, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

2. We must be perfecting the love of God (1 Cor. 13:4-8) in our hearts by the blood (Heb. 13:20-21), the Word (1 Jn. 2:5) and the Spirit (1 Jn. 4:12-13).

3. As we are perfecting the love of God, we must be praying effectually and fervently with all types of prayer in the Spirit (Eph. 6.18) and travail (Gal. 4:19) in the fourth watch as a daily habit.

4. As we are praying effectually and fervently, we must receive the wisdom of God for dominion wealth:

Proverbs 8:12, 18-21 KJV: I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. (18) Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.  (19) My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.  (20) I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:  (21) That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

5. As we receive the wisdom of God, we must be diligent in our businesses and work to create dominion wealth:

Proverbs 10:4 KJV: He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

Proverbs 6:9-11 KJV: How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?  (10) Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:  (11) So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

Romans 12:11 KJV: Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

In summary, to experience dominion wealth in this season of Sabbatic release: be motivated by and be perfecting the love of God, pray effectually and fervently in the fourth watch as a daily habit and work diligently and walk in the Spirit (by washing feet once every six hours and praying in the Spirit at every opportunity and in every temptation) during the day.
