FAITH, MERCY, GRACE, WORKS AND DILIGENCE
(week 23/17)
OLUBI JOHNSON

Faith is ‘seeing’ or perceiving as real fact invisible spiritual realities described in God’s Word:

Hebrews 11:1 AMP:  NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Faith is ALSO trusting in the character of the PERSON of the invisible God, which trust causes Him to release His mercy and grace to us:

Ephesians 2:8 NIV:  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

Hebrews 4:16 KJV:  Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Now, mercy and grace release the life and power of God: from the air for mercy; and into our spirits by the cleansing by the blood of Jesus for grace:

Psalms 30:5 KJV:  For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Jude 1:21  Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

It is the mercy and grace of God by the life and power they release that ENABLE us to do the works of faith: confession, praying in the Spirit, thanksgiving and CONSEQUENT corresponding physical actions DILIGENTLY, that will then cause whatever we are trusting God for to come into physical manifestation.

So the scripture says:

Proverbs 11:27 KJV:  He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

Hebrews 11:6 KJV:  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
