Power To Get Wealth
(week 49, 2007)

Deuteronomy 8:18 (NKJV): “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Here, we are told that it is God that gives us the power to get wealth.

What is the power to get wealth?

It is the creativity, skill, strength and ability to create wealth.

It is instructive to note that there are two ways God gives us wealth: transfer of wealth and creation of wealth.

Transfer of wealth takes place when God puts it in the hearts of others to give to us financial and material gifts out of their own wealth: so they transfer some of their wealth to us.

Luke 6:38 (KJV): Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Observe that here it is men that give to you.

The majority of the wealth the church has experienced hitherto has been transfer of wealth and not creative wealth.

Creation of wealth takes place when God gives you creative ideas that create goods and/or services that men will buy from you, creating wealth for you.

It is God alone that gives creativity. Most men copy from the creative ideas God gives to others.

It is the light of God’s life that causes men to be creative and so gives power to get wealth.

John 1:4 (NKJV): In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

Without the influence of the light of life on the intellect of man, man can learn and copy but cannot be creative.

It is creativity that really creates wealth. The wealth men get by copying the ideas of others or living off the ideas and products created by others is limited but the wealth that comes from creative ideas is unlimited.

It is creative wealth that God is going to bless His church with in this 3rd. day, making the church the most powerful financial institution in the earth fulfilling:

Deuteronomy 28:11-13 (NKJV): The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

It is instructive to note that natural Israel has not fulfilled this scripture in it’s full measure, even though she has been greatly blessed of God, financially.

It is the 3rd. day, perfect church, as the spiritual seed of Abraham (Gal. 3.29) through the Lord Jesus Christ, which will fulfill the fullness of this scripture, by fulfilling all the law, by the law of love using the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

This perfect church will walk in fullness of God’s life and light and so have the power to create great wealth in a measure that will be unprecedented in human history.

This wealth will be used for the discipleship of every tribe, tongue and kindred through the preaching, demonstration and practice of the gospel of the kingdom (Matthew 24.14).

Recall that God’s purpose in giving us the power to get or create wealth is to establish His covenant in the earth.

What does this mean practically?

It means we will have the financial freedom from lack and spiritual freedom from fear (1 Jn. 4.18) to preach, teach and demonstrate the gospel of the Kingdom to every tribe, tongue and kindred on the earth in this 3rd. day.

Having been discipled ourselves, fulfilling the covenant in our souls and conduct, we can now disciple the nations.

However, for us to experience this as individuals we must, like the children of Israel, allow God to lead us through a financial wilderness, allowing us to hunger, feeding us with manna (hidden revelation knowledge) that our father’s knew not, to humble us before bringing us to this financial promised land.

Observe that in the financial wilderness, there is divine provision so our basic needs of food and raiment are met (Deuteronomy. 8.2-4) (and if we are content (1 Timothy 6.6-8) with this during this time it will be great gain to us spiritually) while our souls are still being humbled, but God will not release to us the abundance of creative wealth.

Why does God have to humble us?

He does this because of the pride we have all inherited (Psalms 51.5) from the satanic/sin nature, which would surface in rebellion, as it did with Lucifer (Ezekiel 28.17-18), once we come into great creative wealth.

God will not take us by the way of the philistines (Exodus 13.17-18): the way of the world of corruption, greed, covetousness and the pride of life, even though that may seem to be the shorter way. However we will find that ultimately, God’s way, through the wilderness, is actually faster, easier and most importantly the only sure way.

God takes us through the way of wilderness, to help us overcome by His blood, Word and Spirit, the sin nature in our souls, that if not dealt with, will cause us to forget God when this great creative wealth comes into our hands.

Remember Solomon (1Kings 11.1-9).

So it crucial now to submit to God’s dealings as He, as it were, takes us through a financial wilderness, to bring us into the promised land of unprecedented creative wealth!
