Who is on the Lord’s Side?
(week 34/03)

Exod 32:26-28(KJV): Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD’s side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour. And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

Here we have the account of God’s judgement on the children of Israel when they made a golden calf in the wilderness.

When Moses came down from the mountain he asked the question:

Who is on the Lord’s side?

This sounds like a strange question since all the children of Israel were God’s people and ordinarily should have been on the Lord’s side.

However the rebellion and idolatry in the camp caused God through Moses to ask this question as the rebellion and idolatry had divided God’s people into, as it were, ‘wheat’ and ‘tares’ (Matthew 13.37-41).

In the same way today rebellion against the God’s Word (1 Samuel. 15.22-23) and spiritual authority and the idolatry of covetousness ( Colossians. 3.5) have divided God’s people (Luke. 12.51, 1 Corintians. 11.18).

Thus God is currently asking the same question in the church in this hour: Who is on the Lord’s side?

Now, just as those who were on the Lord’s side gathered themselves unto Moses in the wilderness, those who are on the Lord’s side will in this hour gather themselves to the Lord by making covenant with Him by sacrifice.

Ps 50:5(KJV): Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

So to be on the Lord’s side in this hour we need to make covenant with God by sacrifice.

To do this we make a decision and constantly reaffirm the same daily, to make covenant by sacrifice.
