JOSEPH, DANIEL AND NEBUCHADNEZZAR
(week 47/16)
OLUBI JOHNSON

The events, stories and characters in the Old Testament and the scriptures generally are prophetic shadows of PRESENT New Testament realities we are PRESENTLY experiencing.

Colossians 2:16-17 AMP:  Therefore let no one sit in judgment on you in matters of food and drink, or with regard to a feast day or a New Moon or a Sabbath. (17)  Such [things] are only the shadow of things that are to come, and they have only a symbolic value. But the reality (the substance, the solid fact of what is foreshadowed, the body of it) belongs to Christ.

Romans 15:4 KJV:  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

1Corinthians 10:11 NKJV:  Now these things befell them by way of a figure [as an example and warning to us]; they were written to admonish and fit us for right action by good instruction, we in whose days the ages have reached their climax (their consummation and concluding period).

This truth makes the Bible much more than a historical account of God’s dealings with man containing instructions for good moral conduct (though this is very true and important); it makes the Bible a coded prophetic map containing God’s plan for all men (Revelation 22:19) and nations!

In this regard, we will see how Joseph, Daniel and Nebuchadnezzar prophetically symbolize present day the Zion church that is growing into perfection and how this Zion church will break, subdue and ultimately disciple the nations of the world.

JOSEPH: Joseph symbolizes end-time prophetic and apostolic Christians and leaders that will use the spectacular wisdom of God obtained by the fulness of the ability of the mind of Christ to create supernatural wealth that will be used to bless the nations and finance the preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom to EVERY tribe, tongue and kindred.

This truth is symbolized in

Genesis 41:38-40 NKJV:  And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? (39)  And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: (40)  Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

Genesis 41:55-57 KJV:    And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do. (56) And the famine was over all the face of the earth: And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt. (57)  And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.

Here, Pharaoh symbolizes the political leaders of the nations, who will recognize, acknowledge and submit to the wisdom of God revealed to these end-time Josephs and all the nations of the world will buy from them, making them the richest people on the planet fulfilling

Deuteronomy 28:8-12 KJV:  The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. (9)  The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways. (10)  And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee. (12)  The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

Furthermore, the end-time Josephs will ‘bind’: restrict by spiritual power, the leaders of the nations to do the will of God even when they don’t feel like it so enforcing God’s kingdom or dominion on the nations and causing His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Luke 11:2).

This truth is prophetically symbolized in

Psalms 105:17-22 KJV:  He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: (18)  Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: (19)  Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. (20)  The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. (21)  He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: (22)  To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

Also fulfilling,

Psalms 149:2-9 NKJV:  Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. (3)  Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. (4)  For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation. (5)  Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. (6)  Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, (7)  To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; (8)  To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; (9)  To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD!

Isaiah 45:14 KJV:  Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.

In our article next week, we will see how this Joseph anointing mixed with the Daniel anointing will keep present day Nebuchadnezzars in check and even change them to become good benevolent leaders!
